“The one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus”— Philippians 1:6
It helps to have someone in your corner—someone who will listen, encourage you, help you sort through what's happening, and think with you about where you want to go next.
A little company. A little encouragement. A little prayer. For this stretch of the road - to get through a rough patch, to reach a goal, to overcome an obstacle, or simply to GROW.
Christian Life Coaching is a collaborative process of personal growth and development that helps you become more free and bring your faith deeply into the way you pursue the goals God is leading you toward.
Through conversation, reflection, and practical exercises, we will clarify what matters to you most, explore goals, discover what's holding you back, recognize new possibilities, grow in awareness of your triggers and choices, and identify meaningful next steps.
It's personal development with a Christian foundation.
In our work together, we will pursue what you want, need, and are drawn towards. You and God are the experts on your life - I’m along as an observer and encourager - asking questions to help you clarify and offering tools to equip.
We can draw on Scripture, prayer, positive psychology, a Thomistic understanding of the human person, Ignatian discernment, CBT, acceptance and commitment theory, foundational Christian habits, and practical coaching tools.
My goal is to accompany you positively. What is your goal?
Coaching gives you dedicated time and space to think, reflect, explore, and move forward.
Individual conversations focused on what's happening in your life, what matters to you, and where you'd like to grow.
Gather with a few friends or others who want to explore similar questions, encourage one another, and grow together.
A more structured experience focused on a particular area of growth. For example:
Coaching can happen in whatever setting works best for you. We can meet by phone or online, take a walk, or sit down together at a local library or over coffee.
Usually about 40 minutes, weekly, in a pre-set (1 month/3 month) time frame - or as needed. Some people benefit from a regular series of conversations. Others may simply want a place to work through a particular challenge or decision.
We can shape the experience around what would be most helpful.
I'm also developing a complementary focus on fitness and wellness.
To develop this focus, I'm pursuing certification in personal training and health and wellness coaching.
I look forward to helping people build strength, improve mobility, develop healthy habits, and approach well-being as an important part of a full and flourishing life.
I am happily married to the crush I met when I was 17. We have four kids who are all taller than me. I graduated from Indiana University and have a Master's Degree in Theology from Loyola University.
I've been a missionary with NET Ministries and, for years, I taught high school theology at our local Saint Viator High School. Collaboratively with good friends, I've pulled together prayer groups and Bible studies for children, couples, and women. I am a grateful member of Saint James Catholic Parish.
Most people think I'm an extrovert, but my spiritual director thinks I'm an introvert. Currently, my favorite food is guacamole, and I love parakeets.
Let me know what's happening in your life, what you'd like to work on, or how I might be able to support you.
